Customer reviews of: SA 3/4 to 7/8 size solid ash electric guitar

I received the guitar very quickly, even to the other side of the world. It was well packed, and arrived safe and sound. Very happy with the guitar. Exactly the size I was looking for. It will need a minor setup for intonation but that hasn't stopped me and I haven't been able to put it down. I've been playing for about 20 years, and it's a solid little guitar. The necks is not too fat for small hands, or too thin that it feels like paper, and the body has a good weight, very comfortable. I thought about changing the pickups (as guitarists always want to!) and I think thats about all it needs. Thanks again for a great guitar and answering my inane questions promptly.

The guitar arrived yesterday. Very happy indeed. I'll be getting another soon. Thanks for all your help and answers to my questions.

I bought this 3/4 scale SA Strat on the basis of its picture alone on's web site. I already knew that some great guitars were being built inside the Peoples Republic of China, and I hoped this was one of them. I was not disappointed. The materials and craftsmanship are top flight, as good as any guitars built in Japan or the United States. My small scale SA Strat had perfect action and intonation all along the neck, straight out of the box. Its natural accoustic tone has the characteristic Stratocaster signature that I have learned to love over the last 40 years. This is not a toy or even a "childs' guitar," it is a true and serious professional's guitar. The moment I plugged it into my Hiwatt stack, it blew me away with its wide range of beautiful tones. My 3/4 scale SA Strat is already one of my favorite guitars. This is a phenominal bargain for the price; if Fender had made this guitar in their American plant, they would charge over $1000 for it. If you too are intrigued by its picture, buy it! You'll never regret it. G.C., hobby guitarist.

Upon removing my new SA solid ash guitar from its box and copious protective plastic, I could see that this is a pretty guitar. It has a high gloss finish everywhere and the neck has sort of a "flame maple" look, including the pegboard.I am an old guy who likes smaller fretboards, so I can compare this guitar with a 1962 Fender Mustang that I bought used in 1969, and have had since. The fretboard is very similar and it isn"t easy to find a guitar this size, maybe a Jaguar or Duo Sonic, but for a lot more money. Out of the box the guitar played O.K., but the actionn was a little high. Upon lowering the bridge, a high spot on fret 9 became apparent, and a truss rod adjustment didn"t help, so a little massage with a jewelers file on 9 and 10 took care of things. Blocking the tremolo also helped the action and also improved resonance. After the adjustments, is the action as good as a vintage Fender Mustang.?..not quite, but it is better than alot of guitars I've played. Now the sound..With the tremolo blocked, string through body design, and 3 pickups instead of 2 ( I did raise them ) the sound surpasses the good old Mustang. Overall the guitar looks and sounds great and is a great deal for the money. Shipping was prompt and the tracking feature was nice. I am happy!
